Pulse Of The Heat Exchanger

FLOATING TYPE COIL

At KRN Heat Exchanger & Refrigeration Ltd., our Floating Type Coils are designed to handle thermal expansion, vibration, and fluctuating operating conditions without compromising performance. By allowing one end of the coil to “float,” mechanical stresses on the tubes and headers are minimized, extending the coil’s service life.

These coils are ideally suited for industrial cooling, high-capacity chillers, HVAC systems, and process plants, where durability, flexibility, and efficiency are crucial for uninterrupted operation.

Design & Construction

  • Tube Material: Seamless copper tubes (standard), stainless steel, or cupro-nickel for demanding environments
  • Tube Diameters: 3/8” (9.52 mm), 1/2” (12.7 mm), 5/8” (15.88 mm)
  • Wall Thickness: 0.28 – 1.0 mm
  • Fin Material: Aluminum fins (standard), epoxy-coated fins, or copper fins for corrosive or industrial atmospheres
  • Fin Thickness: 0.12 – 0.25 mm
  • Fin Pitch: 1.6 – 3.2 mm (customizable for required performance)
  • Rows Available: 2–12 rows based on cooling or heating capacity
  • Casing/Frame: Heavy-duty galvanized steel, stainless steel, or aluminum for rugged applications
  • Testing: Hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing up to 400 psi (27.5 bar) for leak-proof reliability
