AMMONIA EVAPORATOR
At KRN Heat Exchanger & Refrigeration Ltd., we manufacture Ammonia Evaporators designed for reliable and efficient cooling in commercial cold rooms. Built with robust materials and optimized airflow design, these evaporators deliver high performance, energy efficiency, and long service life while supporting the use of environmentally friendly ammonia refrigerant.
Design & Construction
- Cooling Capacity: 9.8 kW – 122 kW, suitable for small to medium cold rooms
- Coil & Tubing: Stainless steel tubes (¾” diameter) for compatibility with ammonia refrigerant
- Fins: High-efficiency aluminum fins with 6, 8, 10, or 12 mm spacing for different applications
- Casing: Hot-dip galvanized steel housing with electrostatic powder coating; stainless steel casing optional
- Pressure Rating: Tested up to 35 bar, designed for safe operation up to 20 bar
- Accessibility: Hinged drain pans, removable side covers, and easy-to-use hangers for simple maintenance
- Defrost Options:
E1: Electric defrost for 0°C to +5°C (coil-mounted)
E2: Electric defrost for below 0°C (coil + drain pan)
HGD1: Hot gas defrost for coil only
HGD2: Hot gas defrost for coil and drain pan
